Flexor Carpi Radialis crosses the elbow joint and so is also a weak elbow flexor.

Origin

• Medial epicondyle of the humerus

Insertion

• Base of the 2nd and 3rd metacarpals

Actions

• Flexion of the wrist
• Radial deviation of the wrist

Innervation

• Median nerve

• Pulling rope towards you

How can I stretch it?

• Wrist flexor stretch
• Wrist flexor stretch II

How can I strengthen it?

• Wrist flexion with a dumbbell
• Wrist flexion with a resistance band
