The diagram shows two sets of muscle groups which work against each other. This demonstrates an system. In the picture on the left, the bicep is and the is contracting, increasing the angle at the elbow. If you try to contract both muscle groups at the same time, no movement occurs. The picture in the middle shows the muscle and where it inserts and originates - (insertion and origin).

The picture on the right shows sports massage techniques being applied to the triceps muscle. Sports massage can help to flush out toxins, keep the muscle more flexible and ultimately improve the performance of the muscle.
