Powerline - Leadership and Teamwork Exercise

Equipment:

• One horizontal bar + two uprights
• Bench
• Mats

Starting position:

All group members stand on the one designated side of the bar (power line)
The task is completed when all group members have crossed the power line without touching it, and are safe with both feet on the other side. The bench should also be taken to the other side in a SAFE manner.

• The board cannot touch the power line
• No one is allowed to “jump”. (seek clarification on this BEFORE you start the task if you need)
• No one is allowed to touch the power line. If the bar is touched, that member of the group + the one before must go back to the start.
• Your supervisor may stop you at any time if he/she considers something to be unsafe. This may incur a penalty.
• If you knock the bar off completely, the whole group has failed the attempt. You will need to check with your supervisor to see if you have another attempt.
• There is no technical time limit for the task.
