Peachtree Road Race

The Peachtree Road Race is one of the worlds largest 10km events. It is run in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), every year on the 4th July - Independence Day.

Its inaugurul event was held in 1970, with 110 participants. Popularity of this race has grown so much that organisers are now forced to limit entries to 55,000.

The race usually ends in Piedmont Park, and it is a lynchpin of the Atlanta social calendar.

In 2007, the race was the host of the USA National Men's 10km Championship.
