Rotterdam Marathon

Whilst perhaps not the biggest in terms of grandeur, the Rotterdam Marathon remains very popular with runners. The course may not boast as many landmarks or as much picturesque scenery as some of the other European races, but it does have a fantastic enthusiastic crowd guaranteed to inspire any runner on. The race is generally run in April.

The biggest draw of the course, however, is the speed. It is a very flat course, and the weather conditions tend to be ideal for setting quick times. Many runners will set their PB in Rotterdam. For this reason it remains very popular, and often draws a decent elite field.

It is one of the biggest road races in Holland - along with the Amsterdam Marathon.
