Teaching points
- Stand with your forefeet supported on the platform and the heels hanging off
- Position your shoulders in contact with the lower surface of the shoulder pads, keeping the knees straight
- Maintaining a good posture, lift the shoulder weights up by raising your heels so you are on your tip toes
- Slowly lower the heels back down, to the starting position
- Keep the knees straight throughout
Variations and progressions
- To increase the difficulty of the exercise, drop the heels down, past the level of the platform
