Chest Pass With 1 Ball
The aim is to encourage good passing technique and timing of movement.
Organisation: 8+ players and 1 ball. Players divide up on the corners of a square, use cones to mark this if necessary. 1 player begins with a ball in the middle of the line on 1 side of the square. They then pass diagonally to another player driving out from their corner of the square. This process then repeats with the path of the ball forming a diamond shape within the square formation. Aim to work consistently for a set period of time/amount of passes

- Strong, flat, accurate pass
- Ball travels to the space in front of the moving player so she can drive onto it
- Balanced and controlled landing, obeying the footwork rule
- Time your run in accordance with the person with the ball – are they in a balanced ready position?
Progressions:

Decision-Making Triangle
The aim is to keep all corners of a triangle balanced by making the correct passing and movement decisions.
Organisation: 9 players (or a multiple of 3) placed equally on the 3 corners of a triangle. Use cones to mark this if necessary. A player on 1 corner starts with the ball, they pass to 1 corner and run to the opposite corner.
This process repeats, ensuring that there are the same amount of players at each corner. If 1 corner runs out of players encourage the group to continue the drill by making the right decisions in order to restore a balanced triangle

- Keep vision open, considering your passing options early
Progressions:
- Increase size of triangle
- Change triangle to a square
Decision-Making Square
The aim is to keep all corners of a square balanced by making the correct passing and movement decisions.
Organisation: 12 players (or a multiple of 4) placed equally on the 4 corners of a square. Use cones to mark this if necessary. A player on 1 corner starts with the ball, they pass to their left or right then run diagonally, or passes diagonally and runs to their left or right.
This process repeats, ensuring that there are the same amount of players at each corner. If one corner runs out of players encourage the group to continue the drill by making the right decisions in order to restore a balanced square.

Concentration Cube
The aim is to encourage good passing technique and timing of movement.
Organisation: 8+ players and 2 balls. Players divide up on the corners of a square, use cones to mark this if necessary. 2 players in opposite corners of the square start with a ball each.
The remaining 2 players drive towards the centre of the square, to receive a pass from the player to their left. This player then passes to the corner directly in front of them and the process repeats. Players join the back of the line they have just thrown to.
Coaching Points
- Strong, flat accurate pass which should be made in front of the moving player for them to drive onto
- Drill should be carried out at maximum intensity
- The 2 moving players should receive the ball at the same time and the same area in the middle of the square.
- Keep vision open with awareness of players around you
Progressions:
- Practice receiving from both the left and right sides
- Variety of passes
- Set targets for amount of passes/time
- Bring the square in and practice tipping the ball to each other
Straight Line 1
The aim is to encourage good passing technique and timing of movement.
Organisation: 2 lines of players with a ball at the front of the line, one at each end of the centre third. 2 feeders placed inside the centre third diagonally apart from each other. Pass first to the closest feeder, sprint forwards and receive the ball again. Turn to face the next feeder and pass again. Sprint forwards and receive the ball back, pass the ball on to the opposite line of players. Join the end of this line. Drill begins again.

Straight Line 2
The aim is to encourage good passing technique and timing of movement.
Organisation: 2 lines of players with a ball at the front of the line, one at each end of the centre third. 2 feeders placed inside the centre third opposite each other. Pass to the feeder on your left, one line of players drives through the middle of the area to receive a pass from the same feeder.
The other line of players drive behind and around the opposite feeder to receive a pass from the feeder they initially threw to. Players return the ball to the next worker and rejoin the back of this queue.
